Mini lops are a little variety of lop rabbits which make brilliant pets for the home. Their personality is very easy going and laid back and they love to get lots of attention. They can be picked up and handled very easily and they love to be cuddled. This obviously means that they’re the perfect pet for children of all ages. Mini lops will grow to around 3 lbs when they are full grown. They have got short hair which does not shed so they are simple to care for. Commonly they will live for around five years although some have been known to reach as much as seven or eight years. Lop rabbits have "droopy" ears that hang sideways of the head. This has no impact on their ability to hear and they can hear equally well as breeds with "sticking up" ears. The colouration of lop rabbits varies enormously. White, blue and black are all standard colors for lops and there are other rarer colors as well. One advantage of the mini lop is they are incredibly intelligent and simple to house train. This means they may be a real house pet and be kept indoors if you like. It should only take a couple of weeks to train a rabbit to do his "business" in one specific area making them easy to clean up after. Mini lops and lop rabbits are really one of the better pets you could choose for your home. They are a great deal of fun, are extremely affectionate and very smart. They make ideal first pets for children because they love to handled and enjoy attention. In addition the fact that a mini lop isn’t going to grow too big and they are really easy to care for and it’s easy to see why lop rabbits and mini lops are so well liked.
